Dating back to the 19th century, this magnificent mansion is nestled by Lake Geneva, set within a vast park spanning over 12,000 square meters. The renovation of this exceptional residence was entrusted to the architecture firm Samuel Créations, under the direction of Cécile Morel for interior architecture, while the decoration was handled by the renowned Parisian decorator Christian Liaigre.
In addition to the renovation of the main villa, our scope of work extended to the construction of a pool house and the renovation of the nearby tea house, located by the pontoon for boat docking.
The main villa spans across 4 levels. The ground floor houses the living and reception areas, while the bedrooms, bathrooms, and dressing rooms are spread over the 1st and 2nd floors. The basement features a garage designed to evoke a Formula 1 stable, custom-made for our car-collecting client, along with a wine cellar and a home cinema.
Passionate about art, our clients own numerous pieces by masters from the 19th and 20th centuries. These artworks are showcased against white walls, acting as a neutral backdrop with meticulously designed lighting. The classicism of the building is reflected in the ceiling moldings, dado rails, and majestic paneled doors. To add a touch of modernity, each room is equipped with recessed black-profiled lighting, and the custom-made furniture crafted from noble materials such as wood, marble, and bronze was designed by renowned artisans. Every space offers a unique ambiance, the result of meticulous customization, contributing to a refined, elegant, and luxurious decor.
The pool house, designed by us, stands out with its distinctive structure of wood and glass, blending harmoniously into the landscape. The exterior walls, alternating ebony wood and transparent glazing, create a contemporary and inviting aesthetic. Inside, there are two guest bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a fitness area, a summer kitchen, and a lounge, all bathed in natural light.
As for the tea house, a true gem, it was fully restored to preserve its authenticity. This 40-square-meter wooden retreat includes a kitchenette, toilet facilities, and a lounge, complemented by a terrace offering breathtaking views of the lake.
