The new gourmet heart of Geneva!
Located in the heart of Geneva, Le Comptoir Woodward is the new gourmet address dedicated to food lovers. Born from the collaboration between Titouan Claudet, pastry chef of The Woodward, and Olivier Jean, executive chef of The Woodward’s restaurants (Le Jardinier and the two-Michelin-starred L’Atelier Robuchon).
Interior architecture and design :
Cécile Morel
The 5* Woodward Hotel, a prominent member of the “Oetker Collection” hotel group, entrusted us with an exhilarating mission: to fully design the interior architecture of their new gourmet address in Geneva.
Located on the ground floor of a magnificent listed building, Le Comptoir Woodward already had a story to tell. Our challenge was to infuse this space with a subtle blend of elegance and refinement, while respecting its exceptional heritage.
The arcade, once an old-fashioned Italian restaurant, has been transformed thanks to our intervention. We managed all the administrative steps to obtain the necessary permits and closely supervised the work, from the initial dismantling to the complete restoration.
Meeting the schedule was crucial, and we rose to the challenge brilliantly: in just two and a half months, thanks to a dedicated team and professional partners, Le Comptoir Woodward was born in all its splendor.
Regarding the decor concept, our client gave us a clear and bold directive: to be inspired by the visual universe of Wes Anderson, the renowned American filmmaker known for his distinctive and colorful style.
In this spirit, we created a space that is both graphic and stylized, where the terracotta hue, enhanced with a touch of pink, predominates, combined with beige, sea green, and dark blue for visually captivating architecture.
Every element was custom designed: from the beautiful solid oak parquet, a true homage to classical architecture, to the counter, the bench, and the tables specially designed for Le Comptoir Woodward.
We harmoniously combined noble materials such as natural oak, Corian, and black metal, accented with fabrics in green and burgundy tones, to create a warm and welcoming ambiance.
Finally, to perfect the ensemble, we chose round-shaped opaline light fixtures, bringing a touch of softness to this universe marked by contrasts.5*
